KAISER, Texas (AP) — The Texas Health and Human Services Department says it’s working to make sure the KAIST-Tri State hospital is ready for the start of the next school year.
In a news release Tuesday, the department said a project was underway to build a new, state-of-the-art, state of the art orthopedic center that will be available for the 2019-2020 school year, beginning June 5.
The hospital is also getting a new floor, roof and ceiling and a new patient bed.
The new orthopedics center will include new technology, new equipment, and a fully functional laboratory and an optometrist’s office.
It will also provide new diagnostic and therapeutic options.
The state is also providing a $1 million grant to help pay for the hospital’s construction and operations costs.
It’s the first grant to go to the new hospital, the release said.
The KAist-TriState Orthopedic Center will also include new medical facilities, including the Orthopedics Center of Excellence and the Orthopaedic Outpatient Care Center.
