Oregon woman who received 2,500 doses of measles vaccine to be monitored

Posted April 19, 2019 09:05:03A woman in Oregon has been granted a temporary restraining order against the manufacturer of a vaccine containing the highly contagious and deadly disease.

The judge said Monday that Amber Taylor, 25, is being monitored by her father and is expected to receive more than 2,000 doses of the MMR vaccine.

Taylor is the only person in Oregon who has received the vaccine since its introduction in April.

She is the first person in the state to receive the vaccine.

Oregon’s Department of Health said it had received more than 1,000 calls to its Emergency Room for the MMR, which was given to more than 20,000 people in Oregon and Washington between January and March.

The state is trying to determine whether Taylor will have complications from the vaccine, including eye inflammation.

Authorities are trying to prevent other families from having their children exposed to the vaccine and are urging people to take extra precautions, including wearing masks, keeping their hands and faces covered and keeping their vaccinations to one dose a day.

The state said it received more complaints about the vaccine from people who have received it.

The Oregon Health Authority has received more calls about the MMR than it has from people reporting that they have received the MMR.
